Point it at an event
Give your AI the URL of a publicly accessible stream or web page, or simply tell it which event you want to follow.
Transcribe InContext is an MCP server that gives AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude access to live speech-to-text transcription.
Give your AI a live event, stream or media URL, and InContext can transcribe it as it happens, continuously feed new text into the conversation, and save the full transcript to your Transcribe account afterwards.
You can ask your AI to watch for a particular announcement, quote, topic, person or product, and respond as soon as that information appears in the transcript.
Give your AI the URL of a publicly accessible stream or web page, or simply tell it which event you want to follow.
Your AI finds the stream and sends it to Transcribe InContext. The server vibe transcribes the audio continuously and supplies fresh text back to the conversation as it becomes available.
From there, your AI can summarise what is being said, flag specific topics or announcements, translate the event, extract quotes, or take other actions using whatever tools and agent capabilities it supports.
After the session, the full transcript is saved to your Transcribe library, where you can search, edit and review it later.
InContext works with any language supported by the Transcribe speech engine.
You can also ask your AI to translate or summarise the transcript as the event happens, making it possible to follow livestreams and press conferences in languages you do not speak.
Find the official Transcribe InContext extension in ChatGPT or Claude and connect your Transcribe account.
Add InContext manually in any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth authentication.
https://mcp.transcribe.com/api/Your AI client opens a browser window at Transcribe.com, where you sign in with Google or Apple and approve the connection.
Live transcription works with free, publicly accessible streams (such as official red carpets, company investor-relations webcasts, and government or UN streams). Broadcasts behind a paywall, login, or DRM cannot be transcribed.
Keep your chat window open during the event so your chatbot can keep checking in for new text. If it stops checking in for a few minutes, the session ends and everything heard so far is saved to your library.
One live session lasts up to three hours and uses your regular Transcribe.com time credits.
Include specific names (people, companies, products, stock tickers) in your prompt so our speech engine recognises them even more accurately across 120+ supported languages.
Actions beyond reading the text (such as buying tickets or placing orders) depend on what your chatbot supports (e.g., ChatGPT’s agent features). Once Transcribe InContext delivers the live text, your AI can then carry out your instructions.
Beyond live events, Transcribe InContext does everything our legacy MCP server did:
Convert audio and video recordings into accurate text.
Find quotes, keywords, and summaries across your saved transcriptions.
Rename and delete transcripts right from your chat window.
